To launch vWii stuff (which includes GC games thanks to Nintendont) out of a Wii U homebrew (USB Loader or whatever) without the need of always "switching between the universes" would be enough of a cake for me but even that is far away.
I don't care that much about upscaling and upframing GC and Wii games. There's no problem for me in playing these games as they were made.
But the idea of having one big harddrive with Wii U games, Wii games, GC games, N64 games (VC), SNES games (VC), DS games (VC), NES games (VC) and WiiWare + Wii U ware and one launcher inside Wii U mode to launch them all would be more than a wet dream.

Not that I am nobody else than some asshole who knows just basic stuff but it is just my understanding nintendon't as it is works because it takes gamecube coded game and is enable to run it under Wii iOS, a feat that for long time was thought to be unfeasable and then made reality in devolution, which nintendon't followed with it's own (and possibility for the naughtier) rendition.

Now this just me but I would not understand how Wii U could run even Wii Code as is, it sure has a compatibility mode for it but it seems to be restricted to keep that mode in same restrictions as Wii is, even the Wii games released on eShop are just shortcuts for the Wii mode launch which exit back to CafeOS once closed. Basically it may be possible but it would take someone rewriting the Wii compatibility layer or at least modifying it in one way or another; and then the mystery will Wii U actually handle that well at all. But this would mean that it is not only restricted to Gamecube games; It is the vWii layer that needs to be modified, at least to my "I don't code I just like to try figure out how things work out" -eyes.
