Well, I'm struggling with cheats on nintendont for quite a while, and seems nobody really cares about it.
FIX94 made a new rev on nintendont, but it did not solve the problem. I'm really glad he made it, but since the problem wasn't fixed, nobody ever touched the subject again.

My usb stick ( 8 gb ):

USB Device:
Games
Saves
Sneek/kenobiwii.bin
config file ( dont remember the name right now )

As an example, one game. I put the .gct file everywhere possible, with different names and no luck: Nintendont doesn't find or activate the codes i downloaded from geckocodes already converted to gtc:

USB Device/games/Metroid Prime/game.iso
USB Device/games/Metroid Prime/game.gct
USB Device/games/GM8E01/GM8E01.gct
USB Device/games/Metroid Prime/GM8E01.gct
USB Device/codes/GM8E01.gct and game.gct

No luck with any above. Tried via sd card, no luck either.

With the new rev, even if I turn only "Cheat" on, I get an error message.
I Just can't play any games with cheats, although I can play them flawlessly with no cheats enabled.

Can anybody help me fix this issue?

*I'm starting this thread because we were discussing this on another thread that wasn't exclusive to cheats, so everybody kept talking about video issues, formatting issues and a lot of other things. And my issue kept being forgotten.

Thanx anyway!

IIRC GCT's go in a codes folder...

I'm searching and searching through google and everywhere the same... Nobody can make nintendont work with cheats. Just as an update, I tried to use nintendont through loaders, but usbloader says its missing the file LVSX something and the game will boot without cheats. So nintendont loads and I have to look for the game, just as if I load nintendont directly through HBC or from the channel.
Same happens if I try to load via wiiflow. I just wanted infinite energy on metroid prime...

HI, i don't know if it's necessary but i have also kenobigc.bin in the sneek folder.
Secondly for me the structure wich worked before lasts updates was: usb/games/gameid/game.iso and gameid.cgt.
GCT files have to be in the same device as isos = isos>USB gct>USB or iso>SD gct>SD
Don't forget pointer codes don't work with nitendon't.

Example for f zero GX pal

(M)
04003620 3CA08000
04003624 806530C8
04003628 8085361C
0400362C 7C632214
04003630 90653618
04003634 4E800020
0401BBE8 4BFE7A38
0400361C 00243E00

Infinite Health
201B96E0 00000000
48000000 801B96EC = codes with 48 at the beginning are pointer codes.
DE000000 80008180
12000148 000042C6
E2000002 80008000

Infinite Energy (Story)
041E5B8C 60000000

The infinite health code won't work with nintendon't, story mode code works.

I will try to put the kenobigc.bin in the sneek folder. I'm running out of options, so, lets see what happens.
That´s what I´m doing, usb/games/gameid/game.iso and gameid.cgt. No go now, no go with previous revs.
everything is in USB and SD, same structure. No go.
I´m not using pointer codes either... No go...

Thanx for the reply!

I've spent the whole morning trying to figure out cheats for Nintendont, and I've done it! Here are the instructions for what worked with me:

- Put kenobiwii.bin in "SD:\sneek\kenobiwii.bin", or, if your games are on a USB device, then "USB:\sneek\kenobiwii.bin".
- Put the cheats file in "SD:\games\folder_with_iso\gameid.gct", or, if your games are on a USB device, then "USB:\games\folder_with_iso\gameid.gct".
To clarify, for Mario Kart Double Dash, it would be: "SD:\games\Mario Kart Double Dash\GM4E01.gct". (That's the game I used to test also.)
- In Nintendont, turn on "Cheats", and "Cheat Path".

To clarify once more, this was my directory structure:

SD:
- sneek
-- kenobiwii.bin
- games
-- Mario Kart Double Dash
--- game.iso
--- GM4E01.gct
- saves
-- memcard.raw
- apps
-- Nintendont
--- boot.dol
--- meta.xml
--- icon.png

Mr. Mysterio, I made it all on USB AND SD... The ONLY thing that happened is that turning "cheats" and "cheat path" on won't give any error message and will launch the game normally. That's a progress indeed. But about the cheats...

N A D A.

I don't wanna ask too much from anybody here, but only occur to me ask to somebody who can, upload the basic file structure ( without games ) so I can extract to my USB and SD, so I can only put the isos... Who knows...
I´m thinking about something, maybe there's something to do with formatting the devices? I must have my USB partitioned?

My file structure on USB:
Root:
HoNnfaB.png

Games Folder:
F8A4f5h.png

As you can see, I have the Folder GM8E01 with the GM8E01.gct cheat file on the games folder.
And inside Metroid Prime Folder, I have all options available: A folder With the gameid and the code inside, the code named as game.gct along with the iso, and the code named GM8E01 alongside with the iso too.

Sneek Folder:

If I try to load from Usb Loader GX, the loader won't show me ANY game, on SD or USB, only Channels and apps, even configuring it to show GC Games. It shows Nintendont, but the only thing I can do is launch nintendont from there, since I have it as a channel.
Via Wiiflow, it shows me the games, I can enter in options, turn cheats on, but when I try to load the game, it only loads nintendont, so I have to select the game again.

I Really don't know what else to do!

If USB Loader GX is not showing anything but NAND channels you have something else wrong. If you have a wbfs folder with games it's not seeing then you may not have the proper cIOSes installed.

You are using FAT32 for your drive, correct? Nintendont's kernel doesn't read NTFS, WBFS or Ext2.

This is how you need to have your folders set up:
Code:
/codes/GAHEGG.gct
/codes/GEZE8P.gct
/codes/GM4E01.gct
/games/Alien Hominid [GAHEGG]/game.iso
/games/Billy Hatcher [GEZE8P]/game.iso
/games/Mario Kart Double Dash [GM4E01]/game.iso
/sneek/kenobiwii.bin

Using the "/codes/" folder should work with both Nintendont and GX.

I just tried my method on Luigi's Mansion, and no cheats work. :wtf:
I'm using the same codes from geckocodes.org that work perfectly for me with Gecko OS mod and a patched MIOS.

He has already stated MULTIPLE TIMES that that is exactly how his directories are arranged.

He asked for someone else's directory structure.

I don't have WBFS, EXT2 or NTFS, my usb drive is formatted FAT32... No partition. Tried update usbloader gx, no updates available, I have the latest rev. I've run pimp my wii, it installed every cIOS, so I recall...
I have the codes folder on SD, but I tried on USB too some time ago. I´ll put the codes folder again on USB.
My file structure looks the same as yours!

What, you couldn't load cheats too?
My god... What's happening??

*Sorry for posting multiple times my files, I don't wanna be a nuisance...
