Nintendogs Blamed for Child Mauling
Daily Mail links animal attack to Nintendo's innocuous pet sim

British tabloid the Daily Mail has highlighted the dangers of Nintendo's pet sim Nintendogs, following an animal attack on a 9-year-old girl.

Megan Walker was mauled by Saracen, a bull mastiff, while playing the game at a friend's house. The dog dragged Megan from the sofa and sank its teeth into the girl's face, removing her lip.

The Daily Mail attributes the attack to the sounds of barking emanating from Megan's DS "game station" during a bout of Nintendogs.

The girl's grandmother, Jean Taylor, told the paper, "I think this game should carry some kind of warning. People should be told not to play it when there are dogs in the room. I blame the game for what happened to Megan. If they hadn't been playing it I don't think the dog would have gone for her."

The Daily Mail concludes that the friend's mother was unavailable for comment, but "it is understood that she told police that Megan may have kicked Saracen and that is why he attacked her".

Doctors managed to re-attach Megan's lip following the attack and the dog was later destroyed.

This looks kind of ridiculous but well you never know what could happen. Imagine that the 3DS will scared dogs because of the 3D effect LoL. You you guys think about this. It's pretty serious but doesn't actually makes me think it was because of the barking in the game.

And nowhere does it say how the dog acts normally.
It is England after all, most dogs will attack anything.

.. anyway this has happened before and will keep happening, its horrible to hear but the truth of the matter some breeds can be dangerous and so people should be more careful with children around animals, even domestic ones like dogs

Well... I don't know, imo, a barking dog, is a talking chinese to me

I can't understand it.
They've got their own language, and dogs... Probably too, but simplified.
You never know what the dogs were barking for when their audio was recorded @ wherever it was recorded.

But I'm quite sure this isn't true, I have already tried if my dog would react to nintendogs.

) won't react at dogs on the tv either, and their barking is a lot more realistic

And the smallest bark she hears (yeh, no it >) makes her react, doing random stuff

I would like to bet that the reason why the dog attacked her wasn't Nintendogs, she probably did kick it as the article suggested.

Why didn't they just get a family friendly dog like a golden retriever?
