I've been trying to be productive and dig into the nintendo switch webkit exploit that was first released to see what it truly does and even though I tried to read the program I can't seem to understand all of it since at my school java is the one and only programming language that all the classes are focused on. Can someone give me a few pointers as to what language is useful for homebrew in general and a book or website that I use to get started on learning to program using the language.

The Webkit thing currently existing for Switch is really bare and we can't do anything. However, once something userland comes in where we can develop homebrew, then your best bet is C and C++. Their syntax is quite similair to Java (especially C++) so it shouldn't be hard to move to it.
