Hardware Nintendo switch lite as a controller

So, I was wondering if it was posible to use the switch lite as a controller for the switch.
In games like mario party, or mario kart.
And of course, how to do it.

Using a Switch lite as a controller?
Well, I could just connect it via a compatible USB cable to any console and play it like that. Dunno if that works since I only own a regular Nintendo Switch.

Yes, because I've 2 joy-con and a pro controller. And I've a friend who has a switch lite.
And we're 4, so I wanted to know if there was any way to use that switch lite as a controller for the normal switch, but thank you anyways!

No problem. You can even use a 3DS too (you'll need a compatible USB cable for that console).
