Phone cases are like $10. Mine was $15 for the case, and $8 for two screen protectors, so let's say $20. Joycons are $80. That isn't the same price.

Very impressive. Silicone covers on the Joyless Cons would likely give it a bit more durability as well. Have an AmFilm glass protector on mine already so I should not have to worry at all about the screen.

This combined with the recent teardown that shows the touchscreen is separate from the LCD should indicate reasonable repairs as well.

Some are yes. Quality ones are much more.

The joycons seem to be saving the switch from most damage. The thumb sticks & ZR & ZL & maybe the L & R bumpers take most of the punishment & keeping the console raised & leaving the screen/console almost untouched except for a few scratches. Pretty sure if they weren't attached, The switch would have been ruined after the first drop.

I wish I had the money to buy two Switches just to drop one of them until it stops working.

Looks kinda durable, which is nice since I'm kinda clumsy and tend to drop handheld consoles and other electronics like that semi-often when using them, but not enough to break them JUST from dropping them.

This is a bit hard to watch seeing someone break a Switch on purpose. :-/

Didn't finish the video.
