Does this folder keep a copy of whatever game you have ever installed?
And if you uninstall that game, does a copy of the game data remain?

The contents inside the Nintendo folder seems very large..
It's just sucking up all the free memory.
But why wouldn't it remove all this data after some software has been removed?

I would delete myself. But I can't distinguish one title from another as they're all just labelled numerically, instead of just by the software title.

My Nintendo folder is in total 100g
It seems incredibly bloated from how many games are currently installed

Pal, it's simply that folder where all your games are installed. :teach:
But even after you uninstall the games it keeps data on the drive seems to be cloned data in two places. I remember reading this somewhere else too cause I think it's safe to delete the data. It just keeps a copy of it. Or whatever 🤔

Nice necro. But it's not doing what you think it's doing. If you archive a game it deletes the game data but not the save data, so yes it keeps data but not any "cloned data in two places"

Savegames are stored somewhere else on your emmc or emummc.
if you delete a game from the settings menu then everything including updates and DLC content should be gone.
If you use a homebrew app, then you have the option to onyl delete a specific update or the base game.

Some games use their own save games and those files do get stored in the Nintendo folder.
But Nintendo encourages to use the normal save games as they can be synced to other devices when needed.

Bro took almost a year to answer

Game data is not « cloned », that doesn't make sense and would be a waste of space. If you want to make it lighter, delete some games using the console itself. Don't bother with the Nintendo folder itself honestly, there's no much use and you will probably end up breaking some stuff
