Hacking Question Nintendo folder emunand redirect

Hi guys I just have a question about the Nintendo folder redirect for emunand. I have the redirect line in my ini file but my saved data does not appear on emunand. Do I need difference syntax for the folder redirect ? Or do I need to just use checkpoint to back up and import saves?
