As some of us know, recent studies for the DSi show that there are two "modes": DS compatibility mode, and DSi Mode.

DS Compatibility mode lowers the RAM used, Processing power, and doesn't allow use of the new hardware. (WPA wifi, Camera, ect.)

DSi Mode allows full capacity Processing Power, Full RAM use, and new hardware use.

With the flashcarts available, we cannot use DSi Mode. Many people think that we just need a new flashcart to make it work, but they are missing two points.

1. We need to use a header of a DSi-Exclusive game.

2. The current firmware does not support DSi-only mode from slot-1 cartridges.

SO, what do we need before we can create DSi homebrew? Any of the following.

1. An exploit that bypasses signature checks on DSiWare.

2. A DSi-Exclusive game that we can use the header of AND a firmware update, allowing a new flashcart to be made.

Well what was the point, you just said everything that people working on an exploit are looking for.
Homebrew theory? Really we all know we need a way to hack it first to access all its features.
We just have to wait.

I know, but many people don't want to go digging through a thread.
