Each week Nintendo makes available a mix of Virtual Console, WiiWare and Nintendo DSiWare games. Combined, these services currently provide gamers with hundreds of fun and interesting downloadable games to choose from. There is no preset schedule as to how many games will become available in a given week, but many more are on the way via all of these digital delivery systems. – Charlie Scibetta, Nintendo of America’s senior director of public relations

Doesn't quite dispel the rumour to me though I can't see Nintendo giving up on releasing official ROMs and charging a lot for them seeing it costs them very little to do so.

I don't see Nintendo giving up on VC anyway. I'm still hoping for GB games though, and hoping even more for these VC games to come to the DSi.

I don't see Nintendo pulling the plug on VC either. I do hope nintendo adds DSi/Wii connectivity, like where you can play NES/Genesis/SNES games that you purchased on your Wii's VC on your DSi. Also add GB to the DSi/Wii shop.

errr... i still dont get the peeps who say they are slowing the VC, a new one goes up every friday - seriously people - dont be greedy!
