I rememeber reading somewhere before the DS came out that Nintendo said that the DS was not a sequel to the GBA and that they had a new Game Boy in the works.

With the 3DS coming out in a few months and there being no announcement of the Wii Too (that's what I'm calling it, so piss off), something tells me that the NDS will die out first. However, I'm hoping that there's a few years between then and now.

Semantics really. It already has, if you prefer to think of the 3DS as being not A Nintendo DS.

To me, The Nintendo DS Phat/Lite/DSi/XL have all been essentially the same thing with evolutionary upgrades.

I hear a 3DS cart will be capable of 8 gigs of data even if initial games are pushing it to need more than 2 or 3. That tells me the hand held has a nice future.

The Wii is yesterdays news. And I am wondering what Nintendo can do to make such a massive difference in the market without really just being yet another machine with the Word Nintendo on it.

I mean, good luck doing BETTER than a PS3. What's left to do?
