With the upcoming release of Metroid: Samus Returns, it seems like the once-abandoned series is coming back into the spotlight, in the form of a limited edition New 3DS XL. It'll be hitting store shelves at "limited retailers" on September 15th.

Ports for the 3DS would take a ton of time and look significantly worse than the originals, though. Prime Trilogy HD for Switch is what we need.

Fitting all three games on a 4 GB chip would be tough without severely limiting certain things.

Why would they be fuming? I doubt they even care.

Also, in case you weren't paying attention, Nintendo justified their actions by releasing their own port. Although AM2R sounded like it would be better than what Nintendo is producing, it is a justification nonetheless (unlike Pokemon Prism that we know of right now).

I seriously doubt that continuing to make games/hardware from a successful Nintendo franchise is meant to be a jab at anyone in particular.
