Im thinking automatic updates will be optional. or just remove wifi from your options when you're not using it will solve this.

I think you meant "notifying", and you've been notified if you'd read the update notice.

The automatic updates will still have to be accepted in order to be applied. Just like the Microsoft Automatic updates are. You get that shield icon that says "updates are ready to be installed on your computer, click this button to start installation."

Also, if you don't want you system to auto-update, then just friggen turn off the wi-fi switch!

Well either way, if the auto updates do not work the way I think they will, I'm just going to finish Pokemon Ranger Guardain Signs before the update.

Excite bike will most liely be about 75mb
pokemon maybe 80-120mb

no one really knows but if you have dail up internet, you could always go to a fastfood place that has free wifi and update your 3ds there.

Now my question. Are the 3ds eshop items going to go onto the sd card or system memory?

I meant that Nintendo has to notify you EVERY TIME when an Update is available

Apparently they are saying something about "Pressing the B Button at the start menu crashing the game".
