Hardware NIntendo 3DS broken touchscreen

Im still under warranty but must pay freaking 117 bucks. What the f#ck is with nintendo. I send my 3ds and a copie of the warranty. Damm it all! Not good customer service they having huh?. Well Nintendo f*ck you. Totally pissed off right now.

I don't think a broken touchscreen is included in warranty since it's very likely you broke it yourself.

Let me ask his question:

I'd let my 3DS fall down somewhere. My Touch Screen does not work anymore, I'd send it to Nintendo for repairs. It is still under warranty and they let me pay $117,- for repairs. Is it legal to ask me this amount of money for just some repairs?

Asnwer:

It is understandable that Nintendo won't repair this thing for free since YOU let it fall somewhere, like you said I did let it fall, and if I fellow the law(international laws and warranty rules from Nintendo) then I should be correct with my statement since it was your fault.

117 DOLLARS? DOLLARS? EXCUSE ME, then buy a new one instead, since the repair costs are way too high. Buying a new 3DS would have more pro's

For that high of a repair cost, I'd just save up a little more and get a new 3DS. Buuut that's just what I would do. It really depends on if you're set on keeping this 3DS or not.

You might also see if there is a replacement touch screen available for purchase on places like DealExtreme, but that kind of repair is not for the squeamish

Just be aware, even though this is the bottom LCD, if your actual touch panel is broken, that's a completely separate part that you will have to buy separately.

Good point, I have no idea how extensive his damage is, it could be just the screen cracked (the bottom screen is plastic or something similar so meh, cracking isn't really the word), or it could have damaged some other parts too, like the ribbon cable and etc.
But that's something he needs to find out for himself or post pictures of.

To be honest you could prob sell your broken one on ebay for a fair amount, you used to be able to get £50 for the broken ones on ebay when they were £120 to buy new, i know its less £70 but its better than nothing
