Ninjhax 2.0 Released!

GBAtemp's resident homebrew enthusiast @smealum is just on a roll lately. Coming off of the release of Ninjhax late last year, he's come back again with yet another release of his famous Ninjhax Nintendo 3DS exploit, which again utilizes Cubic Ninja. The 2.0 version of this software allows running of homebrew applications on a Nintendo 3DS supporting firmwares up to version 9.9, the current and latest firmware.

To run Ninjhax 2.0 you need the following. Instructions linked below as well:
  • A 3DS, 3DS XL or 2DS console with a firmware version between 9.0.0-X and 9.9.0-X. X can be any digit.
  • An SD card compatible with your 3DS (the one it comes with will of course do).
  • A copy of the game CUBIC NINJA, either from retail or eShop.

it would be better if they focused on finding another exploit on a different game. CN is a horrible game, almost nobody had it when exploit came out, and its RARE as Cheetahmen. and untimatly the over-inflated price is not worth it just to play around with homebrew.

say they found an exploit for some Mario or Zelda, where it was produced in mass quantities, and people even had downloaded versions, and where paying $60+ wouldent feel like a huge loss if nintendo blocked it in firmware, because at least you could play the actual game.

Don't make it sound like they haven't tried. Cubic Ninja wasn't chosen because it's a bad or obscure game. It was chosen because it was easily exploitable, giving access in such a way with very little validation. Literal executable code stored in the form of QR code? What was going through the minds of the developers when they thought that up?

thank you

can someone else confirm can i use rom of cubic ninja on gateway to hack 3ds instead of real cartradge or eshop buy?
Why don't you just try it lol. Its not going to blow up your 3ds if it doesn't work.

i dont know whats going to happen so i ask people who already tried it.
Headdesk. -.-

The worst that will happen is the system prompts you "An Error has Occurred, the system will now restart".
This is harmless.

The best that could happen, with about 99% probability, is "loading ropbin", flashing colors, then homebrew channel. Even if testers report success on their system, that doesn't mean it will definitely work for you. The only way to know is to just do it. This is not a nand altering homebrew, it is completely harmless.

I have a problem now. I upgraded to NinjHax 2.0, but blargSnes now stopped working.

Edit: Never mind. I was supposed to also update Homebrew Launcher.

I hope now that there is HB launcher, that people will start to develop real and much more homebrew apps, games etc, and strat hacking roms, tweaking the system etc...
