the ismart mm IS NOT A CLONE of any kind. its an OEM purchase of the iplayer with a new menu that allows for > 4MB homebrew loading and commercial rom support. it also has the in-game features the scds2 has. supercard coded the menu for the ismart mm as well.

i've been working on an ismart mm review and so far i like what the new menu adds to the iplayer hardware. no public sdk yet and the cpu is slower than the scds2. things like snes emulation might not come quickly.

i really like the r4i gold with wood firmware. the only problem with it is that you need to make sure you buy the one from the .CN website team. it says r4ids.cn on the sticker. the .COM team has just restickered an r4 ultra (ak2i clone made by acekard) and that one does not run the wood firmware. i'm attaching an image of the r4i gold you would want to purchase. i can PM you images of the box and PCB if you want them. just PM me and ask.

or you can just read my review about the "WOOD" r4i gold

also there's no reason to buy the (dstwo clone) iSmart MM..sorry it's not a clone. sorry AW.
anyways, the iSmart cost right around the same as the dstwo, so I think you're much better off buying the dstwo

I would suggest you wait and see what the cycloDS iEVO has to offer, but preorder for that thing is $50

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy those shitty R4 clones.

I suggest you just get the DSTWO since it's the best card at the moment. If you can't afford it right now or want something cheaper then go for the AK2i. AK2i is an amazing little thing for just 15 bucks.
