Hiya all,

I just took my PSP Go out of my basement lol, looks like it has V6.20 Pro-B6 CFW

I assume this is old? Any reason to update it? If so whats the newest version of CFW and how do I upgrade? And what benefits do I get?

not sure how it is with the go, but the golden firmware is usually considered 6.60 either pro or l(me). though, you can have both installed at the same time with an app. you can spoof with the version.txt, just enable it in the recovery menu. think the latest is 6.61, but you can spoof it to 9.99 if you want. lol

whats the benifit of me going to 6.61 from 6.20?
No benefit going on 6.61, but 6.60 has the most compatible plugins since 5.00
All the latest emulators work well on 6.60
I'd recommend 6.60 Pro C fix 3
6.60 ME has Leda.prx as an added extra, if your wanting to run old homebrew, otherwise, no benefit being on it. Plus add Infinity 2.0 to make the cfw permanent.

AFAIK updating your PSP's system software removes the CFW. There's no reason to worry about system software version anymore. 6.61 (the latest system software version) is already jailbroken and you can easily install CFW on it.

Just update to 6.61 then use Infinity 2.0 to install your desired CFW (PRO, LME or ARK). This method would make the CFW permament aswell so you won't have to launch the Fast Recovery every time you boot your device up, you can just jump straight into homebrew/games. You can just follow one of the YouTube tutorials. I'd personally recommend MrMario2011's tutorial.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
