^^No, that is not the case. First Riivolution checks the IOS to make sure it is a certain version and properly signed, and if it is not then it will download and install the right one.

I have also tried with my drivekey with my 1:1 copy made from my original disc and it still did not work. I was going to try the wode but pune told me that he tested or the wode too and it did not work.

AFAIK, the only way to play NewerSMBW is to have a retail disc.

I got a wiikey 1 chip and dark corp and my NSMB retail certainly works with riivolution.

You have to be trolling. As I said, no matter what, riivolution will overwrite the IOS if it is not signed. Your only hope is the modchip and forget about dark corp as being any help to this because it will be overwritten with a legit IOS signed by N.

I certainly am not trolling, my Wii is hard/soft modded and my legit mario still plays just fine with riivolution, I play Another SMBWii and it works well.

The only thing it requires is a legit copy of the game...

I'm looking forward to this more than Mario Land 3DS. My friends and I are sad to hear that we will not be having a party with this game this thxgiving but that is okay, a great hack like this should take all the time it needs!

Will patches be released or will we be forced to use Riivolution? Even though I have a launch Wii my modchip is not able to play newer games like this

People that are wondering I have a CycloWiz and the tongle used to update it was never installed said the wires where too small and didnt want to fry my Wii LoL

No one knows for sure. Their release date was supposed to be over a year ago. From what I've read in the forums is that everybody working on the project has just been too busy in real life. Kinda sux that this has almost gone into vaporware territory.

I personally wish that they would just release whatever work has been done, but they refuse to until it is "complete".

Now that New Super Mario Bros. U is out, playing that and then playing Newer might just feel like a step backwards to some people, and I'm not even thinking about the HD graphics with that.
