Have you already used Palantine to install an installer CIA? (i.e. BigBlueBox or FBI) Don't do this yet if you haven't, but if you have, use the tools I'm attaching. Just run "RedNAND_to_EmuNAND.bat" (right click -> run as administrator, it won't work otherwise) and that'll change your redNAND back into an emuNAND that's compatible with rxTools. It takes a little time. Should you need to go back to RedNAND, just run EmuNAND_to_RedNAND.bat instead.

If you need help getting an installer CIA on your 3DS first, let me know.

Sorry to bother you again, but can you guide me through this. I run RedNAND_to_EmuNAND.bat and it's not working for me, I dont think it's running correctly for me. Any idea what it may be? Is there a guide for this so that I can follow to make it easier for me to understand. Thanks again

Did you run it as an administrator? You may have to go through Command Prompt... easiest way to do that is to either type cmd into Start and hit ctrl+shift+enter, or you can install this: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/47415-open-command-window-here-administrator.html and have "Open Command Window Here As Administrator" in right click menus everywhere. Then, browse to the folder where RedNAND_to_EmuNAND.bat is and run it that way. If that doesn't work, lemme know. If need be I'll write out a guide from the top; writing guides seems to be my forte here.

It did it's thing succesfully apparently but when I put rxtools into the SD card and tried to launch into the EmuNAND I still get a black screen like it did with the RedNAND intact.

Do you have firmware.bin and slot0x25KeyX.bin on the SD card?

Yes, I had those and also the rxTools.dat and the Nintendo3DS folders on the root of my SD card. BTW the RedNAND_to_EmuNAND.bat made like a back up of my rednand or extraction; was I supposed to inject it into the sdcard?

It should have done that for you, if you waited for it to finish (there are two progress bars - one for extracting the redNAND, one for re-injecting it as an emuNAND). You could always inject it again to be sure, but if you did let it finish there should be no need. Are you sure the slot0x25KeyX.bin is valid? (If you'd like I can add you on an instant messenger or something to talk through this quicker)

I'm going to try re-doing everything again later tonight and see how it goes, Yes the slot...key is valid, I tried loading rxTools with a regular emunand and it loaded fine. I prob messed up on the injecting part of the Rednand to Emunand process. I could add you, which one do you use?
