Hello, I'm new here.
Nintendo user for a long time, I've started playing in the early 80's.
I don't play that much now but I keep on moding my consoles, for my kids !
Found a lot on infos on this forum, and I see I'm not the only one with 'my' issues ! ha !!
I know there are a lot of topics and subjects here, and many things to learn :) I think I'll stay around the Switch section for awhile :)

C'ya !!

hey what age you think is appropriate to get a kid a handheld console?

Well, they are more than 15 now, but still my 'kids' ;) they got their first console at the age of 8... Not sure what's the most appropriate age.. It depends on the games I think
I would say it's from 5~7, as 3~4 years of age is a bit too early. But again it's depending on your child, if he's the kind that can't focus on something for a small amount of time without moving & jumping around every second, even if he's 7~8yo i would still say it's not for him, yet.. Though the opposite is true, if your child is quiet, loves to listen, ponder, and learn/ experience things firsthand.. Handhelds or gaming in general could easily gain his interest..

Cool, and I bought an Xbox serios X last week and am really enjoying it now. It's an interesting experience when you've been playing with a mouse your whole life and suddenly you change it to a controller.
