I am using the new Xploit for Xbox 360 Slim E.

I've tried several games in GOD that are throwing a Dirty Disk error:
Gears of War 3, Gears of War Judgment, Fable Anniversary, Forza Horizon 1 and 2, and Rage.
I use AURORA to run games from USB, and I've also tried from an internal HDD. Same error.

These same games, in extracted format and patching the Default.xex with XexMenuv1.2 or the PC application, work in Aurora.
But when patching the Default.xex of an extracted game, can no longer apply a "Title Update" to that game?
For example, Rage requires Update 4 for the DLC.
But as I said, no Title Update can be applied to any of them because they throw an error on startup.

Any solution?

Is it possible to run Criterion Games' FPS game Black (2005)? It always gives a disc error when trying to start a new game when booted from USB with xexmenu.

That is a OG Xbox game, not a x360 title.

I know it is an original Xbox game. I thought my question was obvious. The game is listed as officially compatible, and gets to the menu and complains of a dirty disc right after choosing a difficulty.

Are you supposed to use the files in the Tony Hawk release of BadUpdate in conjunction with the Rock Band Blitz ones?

I tried using the Rock Band Blitz exploit today, it failed. Then when I rebooted I got E71 whenever I tried to boot the Xbox. The Xbox only booted with the USB stick removed. So I reformatted and installed only the files in the Rock Band Blitz file, but I don't have a profile 1 to sign into. Do you need to sign into the Player 1 profile for the RBB exploit to run?

What do you mean? XOne/ Series S/X has backwards compatibility for x360 and OG Xbox games, and dev mode for older retro games even.
It wasn't fully backwards compatible. Not only were many titles missing they never released an offline emulator or hardware combability that could run every single Xbox or 360 disc. You have to connect to the internet to play a title that was "officially" supported. Don't forget Arcade/Indie games were dropped with the release of the Xbox One.

No

I would still in your settings, disable Auto-Update, just in case.
I usually disconnect from the network before turning it off. But defiently do both.

how many days have it been and no pushed patch fw? guess MS doesn't care for a dead console after all
I think Microsoft is going to shutdown XBL for the 360 instead of an update. I actually think they will this year being the 20th anniversary of the 360.

hopefully will scoop up a 360 this weekend fingers crossed no updates occur (maybe an E since rrod/rdod is eliminated

question anything an rgh can do over this? or is this rapidly evolving to being a safer method

question anything an rgh can do over this?
An RGH modded console can do, but this exploit can't:
Boot to exploited/ modded state within seconds, not potentially a hour+ wait.
No need to use a USB thumb drive to get to modded state.
Custom boot animation/ video.
Boot to custom themed dashboard (FSD/ Aurora).
On-screen overlays (Temps, FPS, Fan speed, etc).
Able to replace internal Hdd with any size, any manufacturer.
Block Xbox Live by default (No worries of being banned).
Play online with others using Xlink/ scripts.
Play every OG, 360, modded, or homebrew Xbox game without issue or pre-patching on PC.

I don't think you can run a stealth server or XM360 but it's basically an RGH as far as you can run almost any homebrew.

Half of those are wrong and or lies. FreeMyXe blocks XBL by default. You can use isotogod format games. You can use scripts since you can connect online.

Another original Xbox game that gives the dirty disc error when run from USB is PGR2. No issues though when run from disc with the retail emulator's latest update.

question this exploit is it possible to patch a nand dump with the 2TB< patches for internal/usb drives or onlyy on rgh
2tb Internal hdd- That's only for RGH. (500gb max and certain manufacturers recommended for stock Xbox 360)
2tb External hdd USB- Will work on any stock Xbox 360, no patch needed (FAT32 format, 2tb max)

xextool.exe can apply patches *.xexp to default.xex, so basically extract game, then extract patch in same folder, then apply xextool to *.xexp file

I just tried that mini-tutorial, and it works perfectly with some games.
Dead Space 3, Rage, and Wolfenstein all work fine. You need to re-patch the Default.xex files modified with Xexmenuv1.02.
I haven't been able to do this with Gears of War 3 or Judgment; they throw an error when starting the game.
But thanks for the help, at least most of them are still up to date.

Ok yes now FreeMyXe blocks Live, but did not originally. Please elaborate how any of these others are wrong or lies? Can you play online with others using Xlink or Scripts, while using this exploit? I never said anything about IsotoGod format games not working.

will get an x360 now. soldering scares me and i was always hoping to get a softmod. cool!!
The 360 that looks like an Xbox One is probably the safest one to get? I mean, no RRoDs or whatever.

Do those still have power bricks? Let me check... Unfortunately, yes.

And it's called the Model "E"
