A new message on my message board about Wii Shop

Seems like you can choose now "One Free Title" for people who had downloaded Internet Channel at 500 Wii Points (when wasnt free)

Only the shop channel was changed. The rest of it is good ol' 4.2.

So yeah. Use your favorite shop installer app and all will be well.

It's asking me to update via Wii settings.

This is for the new shopping channel.

Avoid updating for now, it even says in their msg "updating wil also check for and automatically remove such save data or program files"

Of course it says that, as it'll install 4.2 if you don't already have it. And even if you do it'll wipe out the cIOS's again, except for IOS250

yea, its easier to grab the newest shop channel wad [v18] with NUSD and install it

Thanks a ton, xzxero! I updated to 4.2 awhile back with the Safe Updater and just now I downloaded the Shop Channel v18 with NUSD, packed it into a WAD, installed it, and everything works great.

How do I get v18 with NUSD? I updated the database and the highest listed is still v17.
Also tried using 'Latest Version' and it still gives me v17.

1.3 Beta. This is what is says after updating the database:

Updating your database.xml from Wiibrew.org
- Database successfully parsed!
- Current Database Version: (9/29.1)
- Online Database Version: (9/29.1)
- You have the latest database version!

It evidently isn't updating anything because it only shows up to v17.

So just type 18 in the second part of it.
