3. Wii is in theory powerful enough to handle 720p. Why would they not allowing HD in their next system if it's more powerful than the Wii? Looking at the past, Nintendo have always been one generation late with things. Like discbased systems...

Nintendo choose for not using HD on the Wii cause there's still a lot of people in the world without HD TVs.. and on the Wii, they're aiming for a broader public and not just tech savvys, so, makes sense.. but in 2011 this technology will be cheaper and more accessible, of course the next Nintendo console will support it.

Now.. with the exception of the cartridges on the N64.. Nintendo was never late on things.. in fact, they were always ahead. The SNES hardware was better than the Genesis, the N64 was far superior to the PSX and the GC, along with the XBox, had the best hardware in it's generation.. Sony on the other hand had always the cheaper hardware.. and now the situation is reversed, and look what happened

Will they stick to that name or call it the super wii-tendo!!! as it is the next upgrade to the system like the snes was to the nes

But seriously they do need to get with the times and now the the big market is the western style of gaming and to make money they gotta give the kids what they want and they want better graphics. I grew up on 8bit and 16bit graphics so i dont really care about HD. Fun game play and re playablity is were its at for me.
