Hacking new way to fix contact problems?

i was thinking since so many ppl have contact problems that its possible to cut out the plastic ridges that keep the contacts sepreated, since other cards such as the acekard do not have the plastic and it seems essentially its also obsolete
i have looked at r4 and some other cards and it seems the dstt may be a little bulkier? (possible)
so just wondering if this is a chance to solve the contact problem?

I was thinking the same thing - and it's probably a pretty reliable fix. I have not seen many faulty cards and they should just work first time. If you have the choice, get a replacement card. Otherwise, hack away.
