Hackmii 2nd Update by Bushing said:
Update 2: Okay, now this is just silly. Two functions have been added to the system menu. Guess what they do:

* ipl::utility::ESMisc::DeleteSavedata( (unsigned long long, EGG::Heap *))
* ipl::utility::ESMisc::VerifySavedataZD( (unsigned long long, EGG::Heap *))

We Are Not Impressed.

From the look of that, it's only looking for the Zelda save game (purely speculative as to the ZD in the VerifySavedataZD) to see if it's been hacked. Maybe there is a chance to still hack other save games.

please explain?

im under the impression that this means the system menu verifies all savegames and deletes ones that fail verification
ZD = Zelda. It only checks Zelda games. This is a shitty spotfix and it's not a very good way to go about things, hence, they are not impressed.

Edit: Bushing is now trying to figure out what exactly the function does... Whether or not it's just a checksum-matching algorithm or it's actually looking for invalid horse names

.

MK:Wii hacked saves have been reported being deleted (i cant remember where i saw this so dont ask for source)

EDIT: i didnt notice the ZD string at the end

EDIT2: saying that ZD=Zelda is purely speculative until i see proof that its specifically Zelda, remember function calls could have many meanings

Except the titles of games are all R__[EPJ]. Revolution, Two identifying letters, Region letter.
And Zelda's is ZD. RZDE, RZDP, RZDJ. I don't think it's coincidence. They wouldn't name it "ZD" if it did it for all games, or even multiple games.

No more freeloader. Doesn't work.

No, it relies on the trucha signing bug which in this update has been closed

And so the cat & mouse firmware game continues...

Listen Ninty, I bought your product. You have my money. Now 'F'-0ff with your supposed upgrades and firmwares(lock-0uts).

If i want to drive over it on the road and crush it to bits or eat a fried egg off of it, it's my business. This Wii belongs to Mii.

They're pulling that old $ony, M$ crap. If a brilliant mind has come up with a SOLUTION to IMPROVE your stagnant device, so be it.
Just let it happen. Or be like the rest(PSP etc.) and COPY the Homebrew geniuses(D_A & Mat.) and implement or include innovations in future updates and claim them as your dev's ideas.

meh....

i won't be updating. If this doesn't make my overall experience BETTER, then what's the point.
Get a grip Ninty pleease....Don't be like the rest.

STFU Nintendo is doing what they need to do to protect their IP from being stolen. You'd do the same thing if some ass hat is stealing food from your house

yet another azz that thinks the tp hack is hurting nintendo so bad they need to protect there IP ....IP is bs anyway if you microsoft did this to your wondows every time you installed a none microsoft approved program they would release a update to remove it, would that be fair or right no!!!! nor is it from any console maker. Your Wii your PC yours to use as you please! So you STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, but if you look at an actual backed up Zelda save, the containing folder is called "RZDE" which is no mere coincidence.
edit: Oops, slow reply...seems many others have also caught this.

I'm annoyed that they have gimped freeloader but I suppose I was expecting it to happen at some point. That doesn't stop it being annoying obviously.

Which would make them even worse coders.... And at this point, that's not out of the picture >_<

And edit: I'm pretty sure Bloodgod's comment was completely sarcastic. People need to stop taking it seriously.

WADCheckSavedataZD

ok but last time i checked zelda doesnt have a WAD or have i missed the zelda wad

EDIT: also the HBC has the code HAXX or something like that

You're right. But where the hell did you come up with WADCheckSavedataZD? That's some megabullshit right thur. Pardon my french.

Edit: just saw the update... That's likely checking the data.bin (which is an SD-key encrypted WAD), which keeps you from copying the save over to your wii from an SD card.

QUOTE
Lovely so they blocked certain saves from being copied to SD card.
No... They've only started checking *something* in Zelda saves and deleting some saves based off of that.
