While hardmod does give you more features, having 100% success rate with BadUpdate is insane. Looking forward to whatever else grimdoomer has in store for us (like that HDD thingy he was working on).Insane, just insane! No need to to hard mod it all.

Let's not forget the amount of people that harped about how impossible this was at the start.Insane, just insane! No need to to hard mod it all.

Guess it's a good lesson not to doubt yourself.when one of those people was the author of the exploit, it was a reasonable assumption
On certain models, RGH3 only requires 2 wires and 1 resistor. But you still need to temporary solder a Nand reader to the motherboard to read/ write custom firmware, which is 7 wires.isn't RGH only a 1wire install nowadays?

Now waiting for ABadAvatarHDD updatehttps://github.com/grimdoomer/Xbox360BadUpdate/releases/tag/BadUpdate-v1.3

thanks for your reply. good to know. but RGH has many advantages compared to BadUpdate, right? On certain models, RGH3 only requires 2 wires and 1 resistor. But you still need to temporary solder a Nand reader to the motherboard to read/ write custom firmware, which is 7 wires.

Yes ofcourse, if you are comfortable with soldering. and have a Nand reader (or a simple rasp pi device). Hardware mod for any device is better then any software/ sofrmod. But they both very cool for all us.thanks for your reply. good to know. but RGH has many advantages compared to BadUpdate, right?
That’s not needed anymore, you can use badupdate to flash the rgh3 image. Then you only need to solder the 2 wires and finish the rgh3 install. No nand reader needed. On certain models, RGH3 only requires 2 wires and 1 resistor. Can't you move the avatar data to the hard drive? Using homebrew, not by the official content manager of course. Now waiting for ABadAvatarHDD update

If there's a tutorial for that, I'd love to try it out. I've tried setting up BadAvatar a couple of times and wasn't successful at all. I'm on the required dashboard version but I didn't have HDD inside my console when I updated to that, therefore I believe that I'm missing the avatar data, and I'm not sure where to even find it and paste it to my HDD.Can't you move the avatar data to the hard drive? It's on the reddit site you spoke about, I downloaded it earlier today. My old fat xbox has the original RGH and my slim has a dual nand setup with xecutter demon and a coolrunner. I was thinking about removing the coolrunner and doing RGH3 as it's meant to be faster to glitch, I'm needing to to replace the thermal paste on the slim so will look at it then.If that has been compiled it has not been released, so unless you have the skills to create it yourself, you'll need to wait until someone decides to do it. As it stands, this loads to Aurora from a cold boot in about 15 seconds.
