While hardmod does give you more features, having 100% success rate with BadUpdate is insane. Looking forward to whatever else grimdoomer has in store for us (like that HDD thingy he was working on).

On certain models, RGH3 only requires 2 wires and 1 resistor. But you still need to temporary solder a Nand reader to the motherboard to read/ write custom firmware, which is 7 wires.

Yes ofcourse, if you are comfortable with soldering. and have a Nand reader (or a simple rasp pi device). Hardware mod for any device is better then any software/ sofrmod. But they both very cool for all us.
The biggest advantage right now with a rgh hardware mod is you can use up to a 8tb internal hd, but soft mod , at least for now, you are stuck with stock HD capicity, supposedly a update is in the works tho to change that.
