Gaming New To DS... Games?

Hello, I'm going to buy a Nintendo DS Lite very soon when my Cyclo DS cart comes in..
I've seen the big list of DS games, but will you guys please recommend me some games in a smaller list.

I've owned a PSP for awhile and i'm familiar with almost everything about it.. but I really want a DS for Dragon Quest 5.
One of my favorite games on the Super Nintendo. So please give me a list of your favorite games. Please

It depends on what kind of games you like.

My favourite DS games are:

Mario Kart DS
The World Ends With You
Ninja Gaiden DS
Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Yoshi's Island DS
Pokemon Diamond
Rune Factory

Really, if you have never had a DS before, I would say get Mario Kart first of all, then Phantom Hourglass.

Pheonix Wright series (I thought it was stupid until I played it, and man is it fun)

RPG's i can recommend:
-FF3
-FF4
-Contact (liekly the most creative RPG story i've played)
-Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
-The World Ends With You
-FF Tactics A2 (strategy-RPG)

umm... other games:
-Mario Kart
-New Super Mario Bros.
-Geometry Wars: Galaxies (actually has nothing to do with math - it's an overhead space shooter)
-Picross DS (math puzzle)
-Tetris DS (soo damn addicting)
-Contra 4 (if you're into sidescrolling hardasfuck shooters)

few others, but those alone will keep you happy

Yes, I speak a little bit of a Japanese, because I'm mixed.
The only game I have played on the DS is Animal Crossing and I loved it.

I see some of our members like to read.

Why didn't I see anyone recommend Rhythm Tengoku Gold? That game is fun and addicting, although a bit hard at times though.

I would also recommend Jump Ultimate Stars, The World Ends With You, The Ace Attorney series, Trauma Center, Warioware Touched!, Elite Beat Agents, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! and Mario Kart.
