To be honest, I would think that people breaking the law by installing XCI and NSP files are not really concerned about the whole licence law thing, I mean It's a bit hypocritical to install licenced "pirated" sofware, then complain about the software they used to break the law with breaking some sort of licence law.
My thoughts exactly

Thankfully, that's not the case here.

Yes. It is his decision. I do not ask anyone to upload release anywhere.
Thank you for the info!

This may be a bit hypocritical but I'd rather a questionable release than nothing at all. It sucks having to tell new users that they just missed the ship on any modern title installers. Before, you would just have to hope and pray that it still works on newer firmware versions.

Guys we seriously just need a petition (maybe at change.org?) to Make DBI English Again. :yayswitch:
A petition? I doubt duckbill is waiting for x number of people to request an English version before he accepts to do it. He must have his personal reason for the present situation. His choice, and as he mentioned before, everyone's free to use DBI or something else. And TinWoo seems to be an alternative, although not as complete as DBI.

Violating the GPL by not making his changes open source, and he's already stated he doesn't want to share the changes. Also a violation by removing the license, not including it in every release, and not including the original authors. The Temp has hit a new low with piracy.
Yeah, nope. I'll continue to use DBI if the developer of the patch repeatedly violates license terms.

— Chocolate cake, Gameboy, or me?
— I definitely choose DBI in English!

That's a lie. I just posted to ask Brickachu to continue to releasing all the languages, and instead, you replied by saying that Russian is quite enough.

So how about being truthful with us here?

Edit: and Brickachu just confirmed he had no access to other language binaries for the newer builds with many bug fixes. So the decision is clearly not with Brickachu.

What is a lie? I do not ask him to upload file or share it. It was totally his decision to post it there.

Just a question - why do you think he does not lie? It it just a words in some forum.

Because I haven't caught him saying contradicting statements.

I guess you were just very misleading, my apologies.

You just seem to be very adamant about not being the reason only the Russian language binary is being released online. And in the past you've said you don't care if others share it and where they share it.

But you are the author and possibly the only one compiling the releases. You already mentioned making the binaries in the other languages is already a part of the build script. I just don't see why all of the other language binaries just stopped being released. And you've yet to given any real explanation. And even if you did, based on what you're saying, I might not trust it's the truth.

Do you recommend I continue to pursue Brickachu and call them out, saying I don't believe them? Is that a place where everyone just lies for no reason?

Well, I guess we as a public community can't do anything here if the author by himself don't be so generous to gift us all the English version of his software, 'cause its' fully closed source. :(

The way I see it, don't look a gift horse in the mouth! I don't understand any better than everyone else why there is no more English releases of DBI, but that's duckbill's decision. That's his app, and he provides it for free. Would we be better off if he stopped releasing updates altogether? If you can't use the app in Russian, don't use it then.
