@WiiCrazy

You have the new bannerbomb for 4.3 ?

Bannerbomb is a PPC exploit, what I'm telling I've done requires an IOS exploit... Bannerbomb is not necessary btw.. I'm testing this stuff on 3.2 installing latest revisions of ios that are released with 4.3...

It seems no one is interested to test it? Anyways I need to fix some console stuff in the code beforehand anyway...

Where did he say that? And who said there IS a new bannerbomb? There are two perfectly working exploits, why release a third to get them all patched again come next update? (If ninty bother to patch the others next time. I suppose Smash Stack apparently can't be patched, but Indiana Pwns anyway)

ok pm me wiicrazy

Sounds too good to be true!!! Nice work.

So Smash Stack (USA NTSC ver only) or Indiana Pwns (I have heard there is no J or K release of this title though)

New TT's HBC

WiiCrazys Mod of Wiipowers TBR

Then Nintys hard work on 4.3 is wasted.

I've managed to use Smash Stack and it got me to the HackMii installer screen. from there I dont know what to do since it says

"This installer can NOT continue!"

then it says

"There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii...."

What do I do now?

nothing as 4.3 is currently unhackable, you need a vulnerable IOS to start the hacking process

4.3 is being worked on

I'm guessing that means wait, yes? hmm, yes of course, let the waiting continue

If smash stack runs the crap why not use it to run a downgrader than put it back on 4.3 with wani's new updater?

Holy CRAP. You my kind sir, are the sexiest beast on the planet. And you're changing the world. Well all love you.

EDIT: Wait, has no one volunteered yet? Because I have bootmii/boot2 and I'm (considerably) knowledgeable. I love to test if I could!

I just upgraded to boot2v4 via dop-mii v12, reinstalled bootmii, did a fresh nand backup after I read 4.3 did not overwrite boot2v4.

I am at system menu 4.2u if you still need testers.

Tripp

Edit............

Of course I will upgrade to 4.3 if you want me to test...

I need a tester before I can publish it to the public, I don't want to brick anybody's wii...

I need a reliable/knowledgeable tester whose wii have bootmii@boot2, with clean 4.3 ios on his wii...
I can test anything you like.

Post was deleted. Can someone else repost it please. TY

I don't have the exact post to c/p, but the gist of it is that Nintendo forgot to stub the Korean IOS' with their latest update. In the thread, WiiCrazy theorized that in order to mod 4.3U, all you need to do is install IOS41 v2835 (available from NUS), which should install fine using WAD Manager since it's an official IOS (not fakesigned). TBR is then loaded using IOS41 v2835, which it then uses to downgrade IOS15 and trucha patch IOS36.

The idea was tested by several folks and shown to work, at least on a Wii that was manually updated to SM4.3 using WADManager. There were a few issues with TBR crashing when selecting IOS41 or IOS15, however persistence usually pays off and it eventually works.

It seems like this method is a real way to get into SM4.3, not sure why it was deleted. Either way, we need a coder to look at the source of TBR and why it's crashing when selecting IOS41. Once it's more stable, a program could be created that downloads IOS41 v2835 from NUS, installs it, downgrades IOS15 and patches IOS36 all in one step.

It should even be possible to install HBC on 4.3U currently, by installing priiloader and the 'anti JODI block' hack so HBC doesn't get deleted, and also installing an older copy of IOS34 so that the HackMii installer v0.6 will work. I can't remember who suggested this in the other thread but it seems like a solid idea.

Anyways, I also wanted to add that this is largely uncharted territory (ie: proceed at your own risk), and to take everything I say with a grain of salt. I'm just reposting what I read last night before it was deleted, hopefully I got all the details right!
