How hard is it to update database and use Nus to download v19 shop channell and ios61 pack both as wads and use wadmanager 1.5 to install both and your shopping again
Given the number of people that might notice IOS70 is upgraded too and decide to add it to their list of downloads, quite hard indeed. Telling people to use Wad Managers to update their Wii shops is just a huge recipe for trouble. Better to give them an app that removes all choice and risk.

Hermes v5(.1) cIOSs have maxed out version Numbers
I see. I guess they'll survive too then, but most people still have v4 as v5 only works well with uLoader.

now my Homebrew channel is gone

I used this guide like 1 year ago: http://gwht.wikidot.com/homebrew-channel I guess it's bannerbomb

I hope I'm not permantly fucked

I'll be updating the guide once the new Homebrew Channel is launched. I'll probably be adding the cboot2 method back in, as much as I hate to do so, so you probably won't need Smash Bros. or Lego Indiana Jones.

Please tell me that tongue smiley is indicating sarcasm... There is absolutely no need for a 4.3 updater. All 4.3 does is delete homebrew stuff. Update your Wii Shop and just don't update, that's the 'win' here.

Why didn't Nintendo include any new features?
How about them old features?

QUOTE@megazig> also, typo while adding new checks, they broke the Zelda TP hack fix
@megazig> it works again

I assume that's a joke, right?
it isn't.

megazig was joking the sysmenu still checks for the twilight hack

OK, so my attention was drawn to the fact that apparently the only currently working Shop Channel updater is dop-SHOP, which for some reason requires a patched IOS to work. So I made a little edit to WiiSCU that I think should allow it to install any version of Shop Channel between v19 (current) and v25 (to allow for future compatibility without updating), as apparently WiiSCU 0.22 doesn't work right when it tries to get latest Shop Channel, and 0.23 is now outdated as it was coded to use v18 of Shop Channel. Now I would like someone to test v0.24 for me, if anyone would be up for it.

At the same point as today, you can already do the same "firmware update" using NUSDownloader+WAD Installer, Waninkoko is not gonna fix system menu 4.3 anti-piracy patches, he never did

So what? You can just manualy update your Wii with NUS downloader. Besides, why would you do that? 4.3 is just another anti-homebrew update.

That should be obvious.

1. your wii is already sofmoddend and working.
2. you install system menu 4.3, ios80, ios58 & chop channel v19 with NUS.
3. then everything should still work, correct?
4. Then the Wii servers think you already updated, so if you should update by accedent it wont'update.

That would be an advantage for noobs (or anoying kids)

Or is it still not confirmed if you install only those things?

Why can't you code it in such a way that it looks for the latest version?
If you can't do that then why not have it connect to your site (if you have one), retrieve the information about the latest Shop Channel then have WiiSCU proceed to download a new version of the Shop Channel from NUS?

don't think so. it will still check for JODI title (HBC) and delete it on every boot

Nice update - but Team Twiizers will do it again... Just change the title ID's again, get a new exploit they stockpiled...
Now I gotta get a Wii before they ship with this crap menu...

As soon as you install system menu 4.3 and run it once, your HBC is deleted and you have no access to BannerBomb. And yes, games and the Wii servers will still consider you not up to date unless every IOS contained in the update has a version number equal to or less than the ones on your Wii. That includes the cIOS stubs.

Not a bit of sarcasm...wanin is a huge part of the wii scene...and i'm very happy he keeps inside the scene.
Experienced users might be able to download manually the ios and update the firmware (except stubbed ones), but newbies might find this updaters extremelly usefull.

(as i was...with firmware updater 4.0)

Would be too cool to believe. I still like Twilight Hack the most =D, the first original one xD
Is it possible to play with Ninty and edit the 4.3 update, so people lower than 4.3 can make profit by using a custom firmware updater?

like this?
Firmware: 4.3 CUSTOM

*prevents deletion of Twilight Hack
*prevents deletion of bannerbomb
*Prevents deletion of bootmii as ios
*Prevents IOS 70 to be stubbed
*prevents deletion of DVDX (any titles)
*prevents deletion of HBC (any titles JODI, HAXX etc etc)
*Remove error 004
*prevents deletion exploit of HackMii Installer Userland+Syscall IOS
*ES_AddTitleFinish (edit so TBR will work)
*NANDFS privilege Enable

If that could be done, it would be a nice firmware.

I'm sure developers on the Wii-hacking scene can trick the Wii servers into thinking you have the correct version of IOSs.
