Hacking New System Menu Update 4.3

Don't try to see if there's a way around to update to 4.3. It's a nuisance. We all should just stick to 4.2 as our permanent firmware and never update again. Why would we ever need to update if there are no new features?

That's why i'm still at fw4.1.

But what about new Wii's that come with fw4.3, or people who've already updated?

How are the hardmodded Wii's handling it btw.?

Hell, I'm still on 4.1. If I ever bricked, I could get a disc with 4.2 and upgrade myself into working order. I never understood why anyone bothered with 4.2.

because there is this Disable HAXX,DVDX,RZDx checks =D
So i can use twilight hack for fun =D
but on the other hand i could unbrick my wii with an update to 4.2 so i wonder if i should update.

You can't use the Twilight hack.

If you upgrade to 4.3 you cannot use a disc containing Firmware 4.2 to downgrade.
If you have BootMii as boot2 you can restore an old nand backup though.

If you do upgrade please do a favor for me and slap yourself because there is no need to update.

OK, so my attention was drawn to the fact that apparently the only currently working Shop Channel updater is dop-SHOP, which for some reason requires a patched IOS to work. So I made a little edit to WiiSCU that I think should allow it to install any version of Shop Channel between v19 (current) and v25 (to allow for future compatibility without updating), as apparently WiiSCU 0.22 doesn't work right when it tries to get latest Shop Channel, and 0.23 is now outdated as it was coded to use v18 of Shop Channel. Now I would like someone to test v0.24 for me, if anyone would be up for it.

Guys, please stop trying to find exploits for this. It's no good. Unless the new Kirby Epic Yarn or Metroid Other M requires it, then theres no use trying to find a way around it.

Well i saw someone use it on 4.1 or 4.2
Some people used something like reactivator or something, but cant i get around it with priiloader, priiloader prevents the save from being deleted. So i can use it right on 4.2?
