So if Dop-Shop can install IOS61 then why can't Dop-Mii install a trucha-bugged version of IOS36?
Because IOS61 is an official title, and a Patched IOS36 isn't.
I gotcha.
Hopefully I'm not getting on your nerves but couldn't we patch IOS36 but still have the Wii think it's official?

If I sent my Wii to Nintendo (to get VC/Wiiware games again) would they change the system to 4.3? . . .
There was no need to send it to Nintendo.
All you needed was to use Dop-Shop to update your Shop Channel.

To answer your question...
They most likely updated your Wii to 4.3

If anyone is confused by Dop-Shop (I don't know how you could be, but maybe you are), I updated my tutorial page to include it.

Actually, no. Dop-Shop needs a patched IOS to do its installs. TBR is what you use to install the patched IOS.

Also, you only need Dop-Shop if you are NOT updating to 4.3. If you do update to 4.3, then you just got the latest shop in the process, of course.

But you can also use WiiSCU 0.22 to get the last version of Shop Channel?
For some reason, WiiSCU doesn't always find the latest version. It often would download v17 instead of v18 before, and it probably still does. That's why they forced it to download v18 in 0.23 of WiiSCU.

My last Wii was stolen, I got a new one, I don't want to have wasted so much on my VC/Wiiware games. Though I do still have the NAND backups, so I could run one of those through sneek.

I shouldn't have used the past tense, bleh.

I just facepalmed myself.
I am not thinking clearly this morning.

Please excuse my ignorance.

Thanks! I hope they find another way to update Shop Channel because I don't want to wait with DOP-Shop (because it take long to update).

Guys, please anyone can actually confirm that the update will delete ANY cIOS (202,222,223,224,249,250)??
It's been confirmed multiple times. It does the same to those IOSes as 4.2 does. Thus 222,223,249 will be stubbed. 250 will be stubbed only on virgin Wiis (because the installed version is higher than the stub on Wiis where it was installed). 202 and 224 are ignored like before.

Thanks marc_max, worked a treat, appreciate it.............

But that cant be. Waninkokos and Hermes cIOS already have the highest version 65535. The update doesnt contain new stub cIOS

How hard is it to update database and use Nus to download v19 shop channell and ios61 pack both as wads and use wadmanager 1.5 to install both and your shopping again

They aren't all at 65535. Only IOS250 has a maxed out version. The version number for IOS249 rev 19 is 19 and Hermes v4 are at 4 (and I think v5 are at 5 too).
