will both Atmosphere & Hekate Need updating to get back to emunand?

To get it "working" you need to update your atmosphère version and hekate if needed. That's technically all to get it working.

what about AutoRcm how will that work?

AutoRCM is just a process which boots your console automatically into the rcm without needing a jig. Much earlier firmware updates fixed the corrupted boot0 which leads to a deactivated autorcm and burned fuses. But since atmosphère v0.8.0 the "ns" module is no longer granted write access to the BCT public keys, which prevents fixing the BOOT0 (autorcm protection).

will the Android payload injector app need updating?

No. It is just that. A payload sender which runs from your phone (and your phone has nothing to do with the switch console). And the rcm is something which can't be "updated" or something like this. It will always accept payloads no matter which version you have. I assume you use rekado (if not, i would recommend it because it gets relatively often updates).

I honestly forgot the switch had themes to begin with. I suppose I do spend around 5 seconds on the home screen at most.
