And is there any particular reason why all of the sudden my save decided to become corrupt and not work anymore?

Edit: Well I got past the retail card problem...repatched it with the newer software...still dunno why it had erased my save though...

you probably just tried to boot the game in the save tab, happened to me once too when i nearly cleared phoenix wright.
