Hi there, I have a question in regards to an error message that keeps popping up when I try to apply codes to my Animal Crossing New Leaf cartridge. I'm getting a message saying that there is an "error processing my game file" every time I try to use a code in my new town. The codes worked for a while with my original town, but even that has stopped working properly. Oddly, I *am* able to apply codes to older backups of my town (from a few days ago), but none of the most up-to-date ones. I can't figure out what could have changed in those couple of days, but it is highly frustrating! If anyone has any insights or possible resolutions, please let me know.

i just found if you use the alternate form for a pokemon ( for example Salamnce to Mega Salamance )
its will change , but once you save the game and exit the game he will return to normal form
so , you can't get full box of Mega pokemon in once , i was hoping i can do that for my Extra Living Pokedex with all Mega - alternate forms

also found something else
You can use Latias with mega stone in the battle maison , but you can't use the Mega latias form , it will say under the pokemon ( Banned ) , so you can't chose it

but you can chose Mega Blaziken with no problem

EDIT : Vivillon Patterns doesn't effect by this , it will stay changed

we discussed this a few pages back, and im able to get a box of megas and save game and when i load the game back up the megas are still in the box not changed, but when in my party and save when returning they revert back to standard form.

Yeah funny that they might finally allow changing abilities/moves. I got a gateway now, so as soon as Gateway's update drops, I won't really have a need for PowerSaves anymore. My options are about to expand drastically. :D

Got one of these for Christmas (awesome wife, ftw!) so I can use it with Omega Ruby. It detected the cartridge just fine and everything seemed to be going okay (it backed up and restored saves just fine), until I tried to apply a code. Doesn't matter what code I try, I keep getting the same error message: "An error occurred processing your Game File." The weird part is that it fails every time while applying the code, when it gets to the Server Process part. That led me to believe it might've been a license key issue. So I contacted the seller and had it replaced. Same thing with the second one! I'd contacted Datel the first time around, and just contacted them again for this second unit. I'm using v1.21 of their software and am on Windows 8.1 64bit. Omega Ruby is the only physical cartridge I own that I can test with Powersaves. For troubleshooting, I've tried *takes a deep breath*:

  • Adding the Powersaves software as an exception in my firewall
  • Completely disabling my firewall
  • Using a different cable, as well as the included one
  • Using the license key with/without dashes in the Options section of the Powersaves software
  • Applying just one code, as well as multiple
  • Trying it on two separate computers (same internet connection, though)
  • Confirming the license key and cartridge are from the same region (they are)
Again, every time it fails, it fails at the Server Process step while applying the code(s). Every time this happened, the status on the Powersaves website says their servers are running; it's never worked for me before with either unit! I'm at a complete loss. Any ideas?

Did you try using different DNS servers for your internet connection? I found out recently that one of the ISPs in my town blocks PowerSaves servers on their DNS servers (have no idea why). PowerSaves just didn't work when I was using a neighbor's wifi connection at the time when my DSL was turned off. Their ISP was NTS Communications and was a fiber internet provider. Too bad my parents ***ked up the bill with them. So I'm stuck on this ancient ass slow DSL crap. :(

Either way, after using Google's public DNS IPs, PowerSaves would work for me. Don't have to do that now since my DSL isp doesn't block them. But anytime I had to use a internet connection that used NTS, I would have to change the DNS server IPs before PowerSaves would work. So see if doing that helps you or not.

Just tried Google's DNS servers as well as OpenDNS -- no dice. I updated it on my wireless adapter as opposed to directly onto my router. *sigh* Any other suggestions? Thanks so far, though.

I've had the same problem , dont know whats wrong , i've read many formus and the only answer i've gotten so far is that it might be the game Cartridge

I'd already beaten the game when I got the Powersaves :( Maybe it has to do with where I'm saving.. Thanks for the insight! I'll play around with it some more and see what I can do.

Is a cartridge's save file different if the game was saved in Gateway's Classic Mode as opposed to legit firmware? Because if so, then that's most likely my problem. I've been using Gateway's Classic Mode this whole time.

I am using a real Omega Ruby cart, but I'm booting into 9.x Classic Mode so it'll launch since I'm on 4.5 sysNAND :)
