Hardware New Nintendo XL screen swap

Hello everyone!
Do you think is possible to replace both New Nintendo 3DS XL screens with both New Nintendo 3DS screens? Are they compatible in terms of motherboard, ribbon cables and connectors?
I've read that both handhelds have the same motherboard.

The motherboard are not the same, you can't use New 3DS screen with the XL model as the screen size are different and won't work with the XL motherboard.
