I recently had the laser on my fat PS3 give out, and ordered a new one off eBay. Today the laser came and I put the new laser in, made sure all the cables were plugged in, and turned the console on. Unfortunately, disks are STILL not reading. I'm unsure if this is a faulty laser, or a product of me touching something I shouldn't have. I also hear some models have multiple lasers, could it be I missed one? It reads neither DVD or Blu-Ray so I'm doubtful that's the problem. I'm at my wit's end trying to make this thing work, and I really hope I don't need to buy another one. However if there's no other advice you guys can think of I may just have to. Feel free to ask for any extra information you might need, I'll be here.
