I have an iPod touch 1G with my nice Cyanics Flip Speakers running Whited00r custom firmware. I am thinking about buying a 4th generation, but not sure if I should...

I have the ios4 features in a way (whited00r)
I have speakers
I like the flat back of my current iPod
I don't want to re play every level of Resident Evil I did.

On the otherside
I want the camera
I want the better folders (darlos folders aren't that great no offence)
I want the HD retina display

I don't feel that's enough reasons to get the new iPod. What do you think?

The fourth gen is significantly more powerful.

That is the main reason you should get one.

Honestly, it isn't. You got your music. You can get a digital camera that has a much better quality camera than the iPod 4, and is cheaper too.

If anything jailbreak with redsn0w or blackra1n(3.1.2) and put android on it.
Except the current iteration of that port runs horribly and is missing drivers for most of the hardware (including the camera and GPU chipset).

Also, you won't have to replay all those levels if you jailbreak your current device. Copy the savefile. Install the game on the newer iPod, and replace that savefile.

Also, the ipt 4 has an even flatter back

It's straight flat. The 1st second and third gen are a bit bulky.

Also also also, it is SO much quicker. The difference between my ipt 2g and this newer ipt 4g was already a LOT. The 1st gen is even slower, so you should easily be able to tell the difference.
