Can someone link me to the old homebrew 3dsx please? I want to run braindump to dump some games but 2.0.0 doesn't let me through the cia loader.

Braindump is outdated. Use godmode9 to dump your games instead. And luma doesn't support the old payloads, so you can't use them anyways.

how would you use gm9 for that. Do I dump the cia then extract the romfs/exefs, or do i have to do something else?

Yeah, dump the cia. You can then mount it by pressing a on the .cia file and selecting 'mount to drive'. Then you can extract the romfs and exefs straight from godmode9.

it was an added feature but you need to compile it from source
