NAV-STAR7 Side shooter engine developed for Wii U. It's a full engine that just needs more levels added.
The engine, all code & music was developed/created/composed by myself.

Release date for this title and hopefully other engines is only possible if I am ever successful in my goal of completing an exploit for 5.5.x or if another exploit gets released first.

Any and all sugestions are welcome and is why I have posted this here.

But really, you're waiting for a 5.5.x exploit to release it? I don't think much will come out of it, honestly, given the state of the community at this point.

Exploits are already possible just unstable or to difficult for the end user to utilise, this will not always be the case. I choose my wording very carefully as to not start any hype or allow others to speculate.
I am more concerned with spending the majority of my time on other development in the scene than making a million levels for my engines at this time although feedback would be useful as to where I should take the development of this particular title and it's configuration.

This reminds me so much of R-type and the more you head in that direction the better, congrats on this, its truly amazing.

I hope you dont mind but have a couple suggestions

The background looks awesome, What I love to see in shmups is parralax scrolling, I know we are now in a modern age but things popping in and out from the back (like aero fighters/sonic wings) at times can be useful to break the level up and keep everything interesting and good for stuff like the effect of entering ships, battlezones, etc

Solid things to dodge, slow asteroids or commets?

you know when boo's in mario form a circle and make it slow mario down inthe side scrolling ghosthouses? stuff like this works great in space shooters, good example is level 1 rtype on megadrive/genesis

Il think of more, I love this!

I don't mind at all, that's exactly what I want. And I love you're ideas. I will implement them into the engine as a gradual increase to difficulty across levels. Thanks

Reminds me of gradius on snes wicked! Nice job!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

(I'm unsure how Homebrew works or what your skill is)

Different levels maybe each with a themed ship EX:
Air level = airship, clouds flying enemy's and air gravity like wind
Water level = submarine ship, water enemy's and water psychics
Cave level = ground type ship with headlights, darker landscape, random crumbling earth, earth ground enemy's
Mixed level with all 3
Extra ideas:
Bosses : Ranging in difficulty & themed to the levels there in
Power ups that change the ship or ships power in ranging colors or styles
Ship styles
Depending on level different Speeds
Level based music
sound effects

Hope I'm not over thinking this ...unsure what's really possible with Homebrew
Good luck!
