Here is Clash King.

I was gonna post a several pics from Famitsu's website but those pics have been taken down just as I was about to click the post button.

It looked quite good in the four screens I saw (the other others were just maps) and gives me some hope that SEGA could deliver a great racer for the DS just like they have for pretty much every other console.

Speed Racer was the last good DS racer for me, everything since has disapointed me greatly (I'm looking at you mr Trackmania!) and I never took kindly to Race Driver.

EDIT: Bottom pic is from GoNintendo, the other is from a Japanese site that I can't remember the name of.

I am liking the no pictures allowed pictogram next to the screens.
I guess that is why Famitsu removed those proper ones from their site. I'm sure that we'll see more of it soon, Sega Japan are currently posting a ton of new pics for a ton of new DS games they have coming out right now.

I wonder if this is more of a battle racing game? Title leads me to believe this as well as the "crash" counter in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Yeah it does look like Outrun to a certain extent. For all we know it COULD be an Outrun game.....Sega was the creator of the original Outrun, ya know. I'll have to keep my eye on this one.

I'd love more games like Speed Racer.....without that stupid jumping on the opponents mini-game thingy though. I have dreams of playing Rollcage on the DS.....pipe-dream I'm sure, but still a dream. I really love those psychotic racers.

Speaking of psychotic racers, what the hell ever happened to Gravity Zero Racing?!? Wasn't that supposed to come out a long time ago?

how did they connect the ds to the tv?!?!

Ninty has a special box they hook up to the DS to do that. From what I understand, only reviewers and possibly some developers have access to it.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white

@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
