After watching all 3 videos, they sorta remind me of Final Fantasy VII. O.o
The music is sorta FF like, and the gameplay seems alike as well.

Chrono Trigger is a great game, but really.. it looks like nothing is different. I'm only a little bit excited for this release for the bonus content, if it's even worth it.

I agree - either a sequel or an overhaul. It just feels like a cheap port to me. Time will tell I suppose.

I love RPGs and the such, and Chrono Trigger never originally appealed to me...

Or by making this port, they could be testing the waters to see how gamers feel about the Chrono series (if you can call 2 games, one barely related, a series). Maybe if this does well enough, they'll make a new game. Maybe not.

I'm loving the new translation. It seems a lot cleaner and just better written. And I like that they got rid of Frog's medieval speech (due to the fact that it was poorly written, and inconsistent with both his human character and the rest of his time period) even though people may tear me apart for saying that. Only thing that seems out of place is when the robots call Johnny "bro". I do like Johnny's own dialog better than before though!

And according to both the ESRB rating and RPGamer's impressions, the game is no longer censored:

"The neatest change is that the gameworld has alcohol in it. People go to bars and get drunk. The party scene in the Prehistoric Age no longer ends with Crono waking up with a hangover caused by eating too much soup. It could be that I'm forgetful, but I think the new script has a touch more humor in it than the original did too."

ESRB rates this version E10+ for Animated Blood, Mild Fantasy Violence, Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol. No more "soda" or "prehistoric soup" I guess!

I'd say because the videos are additional content; they just spliced them in rather than hack out sections of the game to replace with FMV. Besides which, I don't mind it at all, it makes it much easier on rippers.

Finally! I;m tired of blowing my brains out having to swap payers on SNEmulDS whenever I access the menu. A real DS port!

I actually never got to finish the game, I got lost. XD Also, Robo's theme sounds like something out of a movie sex scene... maybe it's just me? o.=.O;;
