Well actually by clone i meant te HW 88 one that the rockstar guy had.

Yea it does not matter, it just helps to see if the acekard is a newer batch, older batch, or if its, ultimately, a clone.

I think clones normally appeared as HW: ?? on AKAIO 1.4.1. Not sure though.

I have not heard of a HW 88 before, but It does not mean this is a fake card. The externals of either the box or the cart also cannot tell you a difference. Several packaging types exist, and you have either clipped or glued Acekards with or without spring loaded msd slot. Regardless, if you run AKAIO on it and it works, then the cart is legit, period.

^ And I don't think you can see the HWID on the cart/box anywhere.

I ordered mine from gamebygame. With a small box. HW 81, no spring, and akaio 1.5 works perfectly on it. Yours just might be a defective card, cause I am sure mine is 100% real. I can take pictures to if you want them.

How many times must you tell us? HW 81 has nothing to do with this, he has a HW 88.

edit:i mailed the acekard team about this and rhs i hope i get a reply because now my dsi freezes at startup only whenever i put the ak inside

Hmm looks faulty, how long have you used the new one for? A day?

May be a fake that is a bad quality one, or could be a defected card.
