I have just got a new batch of DSTTs from DX

If you hold them with the label facing towards you, they have a rounded slot on the right hand side. They definitely have a rounded microSD slot on opening the card.

They do not have a bulge under the label (no chip) and the flash checker returns

unknown device: 912C912C

Anybody else got one of these, or a batch of them?

Seems to work fine using the latest 1.17 with the fake killer removed...and also the 1.17 from the website.

I can provide a picture if anybody is interested. They do not look like the "fake and genuine" examples I've seen so far.

DSTT comes out with new versions all the time (that's part of the reason their customers have trouble identifying which are fakes and which are real). Did you compare them with the ones on the website (ndstt.com)? Please post a picture if you can.

That's almost definitely real because it has the rounded SD card holder thing. We aren't aware of any fakes with that, they all seem to have a straight-edged one.

That has been noted here for quite some time so clearly it is (was?) only a matter of time before the clone makers fix that little discrepancy. Maybe they've done it now?

i think its a new kind of fake. It doesnt fit any of the pics perfectly and also they would post something on the site if there was a new one

It looks nearly identical to the second one from the top in the picture I posted above. It's real. But don't take my word for it -- you can e-mail [email protected] with the picture and they'll confirm it.
