Hacking New Animated Wad + System Menu Mod

So, I looked a few hours ago all the time for bbc.wad by comex... didn't find...

I dumped the HBC .wad a long time ago...

But...
We can edit the HBC wad? I mean... Twiizers made it and may not want to have it be used for editing... (But they are open source linux user, or what?

)
I read about Linux things free software ftw etc... open source is always good... (Not for consoles of course

) I got a interested in it.. but need to do things via Terminal (Ubuntu) and need to learn much yet... (It still is else than CMD of Windows

no we can´t (not for official release ) the problem is the included nandloader (the reason of the legal and illegal stuff). both marcan and comax they don´t give her permission for other usage....

this may be stupid to mention or may already been mentioned but for people wanting to make there own Animated banners, Just use Howard's U8 tool to extract the App and the banner from a wiiware title, and to re-pack them, with new TPL's I'm not going to get into details but its not hard

Yes, a disc opening.bnr also works

I think I'll try again. Last time I just got a black banner when I installed (better than a brick I guess

Quick Question: When I extract a normal (non-animated) 0.app, I get banner, icon and sound in a 0_app_OUT folder. With the bnr, I get banner, icon and sound in a 0_app_OUT folder/meta folder. (example C:/0_app_OUT folder/meta , the files in the meta folder). Does the meta folder matter?

Eh, I think for the custom logo thing the wii logo and some blue wavy twisting lines going across the screen without any names would be better. The patch for the system menu looks sweet. So does it work on 3.3U and is there a patch for the disc channel for the 002 fix? If not, I hope there is one soon.

How did you do it? Extract ARC files and replace the Images?

Yeah, but how?

Extracted the WAD -> Extracted "A" ARC file? -> edit -> pack -> install bla bla...

Just used Howard's U8 tool extracted the app0 file and use the same tool to extract the banner file and replaced one of the Bubble Tpl's and then reused Howards tool to re-packed the banner file, and then same tool to repack the App0 file, then used gallys packer to pack up the rest of the wad, Thats it

uploading a vid of animated banner its so easy lol

you just have to edit the tpl's to im unable to extract some newer stuff at the moment my pc is being a biatch

to get transparancy you just need to make a single colour background to your image and click it to make it alpha

anyway the vid will be up in a sec its nothing great just a quick edit of the wadmanager banner

If I extract the HBC 1.0.1 WAD and unpack 0....app
I only can see Banner Sound Icon .bin's Is that normal?

What do to next to edit it?
