We have switched to a new ad network just recently. We're still working out the kinks, please bear with us until we're done :)

Known issues, which will be addressed by our supplier as soon as possible:
- bottom adverts on mobile are too big
- <please post in this thread if you are getting other issues>

On most ads you will also see a "report ad" button, please click it to report it, obviously. There's no need to report it again on the forums since we'll only tell you to use that report button.

Also, please keep in mind that these ads arent there just for the fun of it. We need revenue to keep servers going, to allow some staff to get (small) payments to keep the site alive, and ... competitions. A big one's coming up real soon, if you've been following the Switch forums you know what I'm talking about. ;)

  • Please contact our advertising representatives at Playwire for ad rates, packages and general advertising information.
  • All display advertising on our site is managed by Playwire. If you would like to advertise please visit www.playwire.com or email [email protected].

I'm also getting banners _AND_ this annoying popup every time I visit a page.
If you show me banners than at least don't show me this annoying popup.
Tell Admiral to get their sh*t together.

Just here to point out how fucking ridiculous the ads are on mobile, in case anyone had any doubts.

Yikes! Ok I need to speak to the ad network about these. That's a bit ridiculous!

You say mobile, however that looks like desktop to me? Or are you using a tablet?

The current cookie consent dialogue is rather hostile to anyone who wants their privacy respected. It has dozens of options checked by default and has no ‘Reject all’ button. It would be better if either everything was unchecked by default or if there was a ‘Reject all’ button.

Oh yeah, those "Legitimate Interest" checkboxes that somehow skirt the rules that say all the boxes have to be unchecked by default. I hate those.

@Costello & @shaunj66 it happened 3 times yesterday at various intervals when liking a post and hitting my notification icon on home page (that one may have been an ad page jump that i pressed but I'm sure it wasn't!) .. I'll grab a screenshot next time, apologies for that!

From what I remember, the reject cookies option legally HAS to be as easy as accepting cookies. If there is an 'Accept all' button, there has to be a 'Reject all' button, not only that it acutally HAS TO GIVE THE OPTION TO ACTUALLY REJECT ALL COOKIES, even those 'required' for the site to work.
