So, I had dust round the side of the screen. I wanted to clean it up a bit.

So what I decided to do was to get a paper clip and get out the dust, instead the paper clip went right into the screen in the edge and now where it went is completely uncalibrated

Example:
Red = Screen
Black = What the calibration is like (yes, the left is also a bit messed up)

Any tips? I tried to recalibrate it made it a TINY bit better after 3 hours of clicking the circle...

You mean, you pierced through the digitizer/touch panel? If so, there's probably no way to repair that panel. Get a new one. Pointed piece of metal + weak plastic = very bad.

Just a quick search: Ebay 1 and Ebay 2. Check these offers carefully! I did not read them completely.

Guide to replace the touchscreen see ifixit.com.

I can understand your thought process that prodding something with a thin shaft in hard to reach places usually works out at removing something, but did you ever stop to consider that poking metal on plastic sheet and glass might not have been the best idea from the get go?

For dust removal, use these instead:
