I replaced the top LCD of my new 3DS XL, but it looks extremely pale compared to the lower screen. Also, the 3D function works terribly. Is this an issue with my replacement or with the screen itself?

There was also one time when it slowly started getting more and more pale, until it went completely white, the 3DS made a pop noise, and it turned off completely. That’s the thing making me wonder if I damaged the ribbon cable or something.

Man I am so tired of this, I worked so hard to get my 3DS working again, I just want to play my games again. Where can I buy an upper LCD replacement that actually works? Has anyone been able to successfully replace their screen and have it work as well as the original? I guess I can live with without using 3D, but is it so much to ask for to have everything working? This 3DS means a lot to me, I have so many good childhood memories on it, I just want to have fun with it again like I used to as a kid.

For the 3D to work you need to buy a screen which is specifically sold as 3D capable. Most of the replacement screens don't have the 3D effect.
