Some New 3DS games will be optimized on New 3DS but still compatible with "old" 3DS , while others will only run on New 3DS.
Bit like when DSi came out, most games still worked on DS but only DSiWare worked on DSi.

There were actually only 5 physical DSi Game cards, maybe it will be different with New 3DS.

What others have said. There's only been one confirmed "New 3DS-exclusive" (that I know of) and it's Xenoblade 2.

Thanks for the answers=) What about pokemon? Do you think they can be exclusive for a new system, or not? If the company would like to sell more systems, I think, that's it can be quite possible...

Maybe in the future ... but currently no.

No way pokemon will be n3ds exclusive. Ignoring an installed base of 50 million would be nuts. The extent of n3ds exclusives will likely be just a handful of 3rd party games just like the DSi exclusives were.

Nintendo does make horrible decisions ... quite often lately especially.

So the DSi was somwthing like a new 3DS? I don't know anything about it.If it would be like this - it would be amazing.

I am afraid of such decisions...

Nono, think of the normal 3DS(XL) as the original Gameboy/Gameboy Advance/Nintendo DS and the New 3DS(XL) as the Gameboy Color/Gameboy Advance SP/Nintendo DSi

Actually no because the New 3DS games only work with the New 3DS, ergo it doesn't work with the previous 3DS/3DS XL console, ergo
3DS - Gameboy Color
New 3DS - Game boy Advance

Gameboy Color games are compatible with Gameboy Advance but it isn't the other way around

i can literally promise you, the number of games that will only run on New3ds hardware will be lower than 10 in the next 3 years. Chances are it will be lower than 5.

unless, by miracle, every single 3ds owner decides to buy a new3ds the day it comes out, every game developer and their mother will make sure that their game, at best, runs better on a new 3ds, but is still playable on the old hardware. once a million or two have been moved, maybe one or two publisher will try to appeal to them with a game in hopes that everyone will buy it just because they'd have otherwise wasted their money on the new3ds. but other than that, no n3ds only games.

that is how it works. its why the dsi, which was also more powerful than a normal ds and could very well have entirely exclusive dsi games (of which it had i dunno... 3? and i think those were only dsi only because they required the camera), never had that stuff.

Some are.

Pokemon Black/White 2 had DSi features but it also worked on the regular DS, just without the extra features.
Pokemon Gold/Silver worked on the Gameboy Color, but it also worked on the original Gameboy, just without color.
I suspect New Nintendo 3DS games will be the same (Smash Bros will use the C-Stick on the New Nintendo 3DS, but on the regular 3DS, it will still work, just without the C-Stick.)

New 3DS games won't work on the normal 3DS because the New 3DS is more ''powerful'' quote unquote, I thought we were on the same subject here.

No, New 3DS/3DS hybrid games would work on both systems but they would add additional features on New 3DS (like C-Stick, etc)
There were games that only worked on the Game Boy Color (Pokemon Crystal) and the Nintendo DSi (Foto Showdown)
